The Punakaiki treehouse is situated in 3 hectares of NZ native bush and is located 3.2km North of the Punakaiki Pancake rocks. The treehouse incorporates the 'Love' Punakaiki Luxury Couples Retreat as well as 3 studio motel units, Miro, Nikau and Rimu. Free private parking is available on site. The motel units have just undergone extensive renovations with new bathrooms, carpet, bedding and paint throughout. Love Punakaiki is a double storied apartment featuring a large deck overlooking the bush, a large kitchen/living area, an upstairs glass-ceiling library, upstairs master bedroom and bathroom. It has free wifi, a large flat-screen TV with sky channels and is air conditioned. It also incorporates a fully equipped kitchen. Nikau and Rimu are studio motel units. Nikau has a king bed which can convert to two singles. Rimu has a queen bed. Both rooms have decks overlooking the native bush. Both rooms have a small seating area with a TV, an ensuite bathroom, and a small kitchenette, which incudes a cooktop, mini fridge and microwave, Miro is a disability access unit with a ramp/wheelchair access. It consists of a kitchenette including mini fridge and microwave. It has a double bed and a single bed and can sleep 3 people. It has a full disability access bathroom including hand rails by the shower and toilet, a shower seat, and a heightened toilet. The nearest airport is Hokitika Airport, 75 km from the property.
